Andy Johnson we love you!!!!!!! The man came up trumps again with a superb equaliser at the death to save a point in this tough game of water polo at the AS.
The conditions were atrocious out there today. No doubt, the Alice Smith groundsman will be having kittens when he turns up for work on Monday and sees the state of the pitch. Indeed, the pitch did spoil a promising encounter between two good sides; two sides that are evenly matched in more ways than one. It was 0-0 at the break with both sides going close with shots hitting the bar and chances going a-begging. However, the deadlock was broken early in the second half when the No.7 for KLV, who had a great game, broke through and netted home. KLV then had a 20 minutes spell of putting us under pressure. However, the tables were turned in the last 20 minutes when they seemed to run of steam and we were able to put some good moves together. However, it was the big man in the middle who got the key goal with the final whistle beckoning and he gets my vote for the big MOM.

Great battling lads and a good performance all round. We were definitely deserving of at least a draw. We played the second half almost entirely at their end of the pitch. Thanks for you all for digging deep in the last 15 minutes when we were down to 10 men. It was a sign of the strength and character we have at Asterix Reds and will stand us in good stead for the rest of the season. Have a good break over Christmas and New Years.
